Mark your calendars for the 2023 Alton Miles for Meso fundraiser on Saturday, September 23, in honor of Mesothelioma Awareness Day. This is the 15th year the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization’s (ADAO) Platinum Sponsor Simmons Hanly Conroy will be putting on this fabulous event.

This annual event is one of the yearly highlights for our Mesothelioma Warrior community. It brings people together in a fun, healthy way – even digitally, as many chose to join virtually and run the race from their neighborhoods. It also helps raise funds to support  ADAO’s mesothelioma awareness efforts. Since 2014, ADAO has been the designated beneficiary for the Miles for Meso race in Alton, raising substantial donations each year! This year, donations will once again go to ADAO!

As a grassroots organization, the opportunity to build community, raise awareness for our cause, and get donations is a game changer for us, and we greatly appreciate Simmons Hanly Conroy and their continued support.

Everyone who wishes to support ADAO and the fight against asbestos can join the race from anywhere. Like last year, a goodie bag will be mailed to all virtual participants. On the day of the race, wear your Miles for Meso shirt, complete the 5k in your neighborhood solo or with friends and family, and document it! Please share your pictures and join our social conversations on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #MilesForMeso.

Start stretching those muscles! We will be on the starting line to “Fight Against Mesothelioma.”

In unity,

Linda
