For those of you loyal supporters that may have noticed and been concerned by my recent absence from Twitter, we are back online!  I had been down without Twitter for more than 55 hours because of a mistake with their automated technology, all during a demanding time with ADAO’s social media advocacy initiatives.  So, for those of you new followers who received the error message “user doesn’t exist” – I’m back, and eager to continue our work.

For those of you who responded to my occupational safety and health questions via Twitter for my upcoming 19th World Congress on Safety and Health at Work presentation, “Building an Integrative Social Media Strategy to Increase Workers’ Health and Safety,” I am truly sorry, but I am unable to view past tweets and would appreciate it if you could re-tweet.  While I will have limited access to the internet in Turkey, I will be posting updates to Facebook and sharing the experience with you all.

My sincere thanks to all followers who messaged @Twitter on my behalf.  Gotta love Twitter’s automated technology – next time it could be you.  Read @Twitter’s message below.

Hello,

Twitter has automated systems that find and remove multiple automated spam accounts in bulk. Unfortunately, it looks like your account got caught up in one of these spam groups by mistake.

I’ve restored your account; sorry for the inconvenience.

Please note that it may take an hour or so for your follower and following numbers to return to normal.

Thanks,

TheCaptain
