Partner with ADAO. Protect public health. Help end asbestos-caused diseases.
The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) enters 2027 with a clear mission: to prevent asbestos exposure and eliminate asbestos-caused diseases. For more than two decades, we have brought together science, advocacy, education, and community to advance public health and move the United States closer to a comprehensive asbestos ban.
As we look ahead to another year of action, we invite organizations and individuals who share this commitment to partner with ADAO and help strengthen our impact.
2026 at a Glance
- Legislation: On August 4, Senators Jeff Merkley (D-OR) and John Curtis (R-UT) reintroduced the bipartisan Alan Reinstein Ban Asbestos Now (ARBAN) Act of 2026, advancing the call for a comprehensive federal asbestos ban.
- Legal advocacy and accountability: ADAO and 17 co-petitioners advocated for stronger asbestos protections in Texas Chemistry Council v. EPA before the Fifth Circuit. Separately, ADAO secured a court order requiring federal agencies to respond to its requests for records concerning asbestos safeguards during the White House East Wing demolition.
- Education and engagement: ADAO convened its 21st Annual Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference and 20th Congressional Staff Briefing. Our public education and outreach efforts also included Health Literacy Month activities, the Six-Word Quote Campaign, and the free 9/11 Resource Hub.
Together, these efforts demonstrate how sustained advocacy, public education, and community engagement can advance asbestos prevention and accountability.
Why Sponsorship Matters
Asbestos remains a serious public health threat, contributing to more than 40,000 deaths annually in the United States. The country remains one of the few industrialized nations that has not fully banned asbestos.
Sponsorship helps provide the resources ADAO needs to advance evidence-based education, strengthen advocacy, engage decision-makers, and reach more people with information that can help prevent exposure and disease.
By partnering with ADAO, sponsors can support work that connects public health, policy, science, and the lived experiences of patients and families affected by asbestos-caused diseases.
What Sponsors Receive
ADAO offers three sponsorship levels: Platinum, Gold, and Silver. Depending on the sponsorship level and applicable benefits, opportunities for recognition may include:
- Annual conference recognition: Visibility before, during, and after ADAO’s Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference, including opportunities through conference materials and video content.
- Global Asbestos Awareness Week: Recognition during ADAO’s annual campaign, which reaches hundreds of thousands of people.
- Digital and educational outreach: Opportunities for recognition through monthly eNewsletters, blogs, and social media throughout 2027.
- Collaborative engagement: Opportunities to explore joint outreach and connect with ADAO’s work alongside experts, advocates, patients, and families.
- Impact reporting: Updates on ADAO’s programs and initiatives supported by sponsorship, where applicable.
ADAO is committed to meaningful partnerships that support its mission while maintaining its independence and focus on public health.
How to Get Involved
Sponsorship can support ADAO’s programs, help make educational and advocacy events possible, or fund specific initiatives. Opportunities can be discussed with ADAO to identify an approach that aligns with your organization’s goals and the needs of our mission.
