The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is thrilled to announce our 17th Annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference and exclusive “Asbestos: Art, Advocacy, and Action Festival” will be held as a hybrid virtual event for attendees, with speakers and artists presenting in person at Emory Conference Center Hotel on September 16-17, 2022.

ADAO is the only U.S. nonprofit that organizes annual conferences dedicated to preventing and eliminating asbestos-caused diseases.

This year’s event will be a hybrid event, with the speakers giving their presentations live in person, and attendees viewing virtually. Though we wish it was safe enough for everyone to come together as a community, unfortunately, the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic makes it unsafe and difficult for us to unite in person in such a large group. We strongly believe that producing the conference virtually allows people from all over the world to join us and interact with these lifesaving presentations with just a few clicks of a button.

Over the past 17 years, our conferences have provided both education and knowledge, and also raised awareness about the dangers of asbestos exposure and about asbestos-caused illnesses. From medical experts to mesothelioma victims, from trade union leaders to lawmakers and activists, ADAO’s annual conferences have hosted more than 300 speakers since 2005. This distinguished group – which includes experts from over 20 countries – comes together to speak about our joint efforts in asbestos education, advocacy and awareness.

Our work is made possible by our generous 2022 sponsors and donors. Thanks to our 2022 Platinum Sponsor; Simmons Hanly Conroy, Gold Sponsor; The Gori Law Firm, and Silver sponsors; Bailey & Glasser, and Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney & Meisenkothen. Stay tuned for more information about our speaker lineup, dates, and registration!

We cannot wait to come together and work towards a safer tomorrow. Together, we are making a difference.
